Next Power's CPCI-D500 power unit offers ultra-high power density in a 6U plug-in module that meets the requirements of the PICMTM 2.11 R1.0 power interface specification for CompactPCI systems with IPMI functionality. This unit may be used as a single power supply for a CompactPCI chassis. Active current sharing allows multiple units to be paralleled for higher current capability. Efficient OR-ing permits N+1 redundancy and provides hot swap capability.
The CPCI-D500 power unit is based on new principles in power conversion. This new technology achieves over 90% efficiency. Unlike other CPCI power supplies, Next Power's CPCI power supplies deliver 90% efficiency at full load across the entire operating temperature range of 0 to 50°C. Airflow requirements are minimal.

The CPCI-D500 offers exceptional noise and EMI performance, reliability, and is overload and short circuit protected. All four outputs are completely independent. A malfunction on one output will not affect the other outputs. This unit is covered by U.S. Patent.
