The iUCB-DC48XX Intelligent Remote- Controlled Uni- directional Re- settable
Electronic Circuit Breaker controls a connection between the power source and the load.
It contains a built-in re-settable electronic fuse to provide all necessary protection
for electronic equipment.
The iUCB-DC48XX reacts immediately to current surge or short circuit conditions, and in
50 ns limits a load current to a level of less than 30% above the rated maximum value.
If any abnormal condition clears in less than 5 ms, the iUCB-DC48XX ceases to limit
the load current.
If any abnormal condition does not clear in 5 ms, the iUCB-DC48XX breaks the connection
between the power source and the load, and initiates an alarm signal.
The iUCB-DC48XX restores the connection between the power source and the load
as soon as any durable abnormal conditions clears.
The iUCB-DC48XX design is based on the novel protection principles that minimize disconnect
time to less than 1.5 µs.
The iUCB-DC48XX is applicable for line voltage from 18 VDC to 60 VDC, and line current up to
25 Amps. Other configurations and ratings are optionally available. The iUCB-DC48XX provides
more design-friendly functionality than any best competing poly-switch, solid-state relay
or solid-state circuit breaker available on the market. The iUCB-DC48XX is covered by two
U.S. pending patents.
